Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026
The short version
- Your device stores your chat history, the agent’s memory, generated files, and website sign-ins. Copies of the content needed for a task also pass through our servers and AI providers, as explained below.
- To do what you ask, Result sends your request, and what the agent reads while it works, to an AI model: in the cloud, or on your own Mac. The app asks for your permission first.
- We don’t sell your data, show ads, track you across apps or websites, or use your data to train AI models. Cloud requests are restricted by Vercel AI Gateway’s zero data retention setting, as explained below.
- You can delete your account, and its data, in the app at any time.
Who we are
Result is made by Savio Martin (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Result apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and result.dev. Questions: support@result.dev.
What we collect, and why
Your account
Your email address, to send you sign-in codes and to identify your account, and an account ID we create for it. There are no passwords.
Your devices
For each device you sign in on: its type (iPhone, iPad, or Mac), the name the system gives it, the AI models a Mac has installed, which iPhones are paired with which Mac, and when it last connected. We use this to run your requests on the right device and to show you your devices.
What you ask the agent to do
The agent needs an AI model to understand you and decide what to do. So, while it works, Result sends these through our servers to the model:
- Your messages, and any photos you attach.
- Text or links you share into Result from other apps.
- What the agent sees while it works for you: the text and screenshots of web pages it opens, and the results of its actions.
- What the agent remembers about you (up to about 4,000 characters with each message), and your messages when it decides what to remember.
- Only when your request needs them: your reminders and calendar events, and your location (to about 100 meters) for places, directions, and weather.
- The contents of files the agent makes for you, which the model writes.
We use this only to answer you and do what you asked.
Support and technical information
If you send a support report, or report one of the agent’s messages, we receive its text, any screenshots you attach (or the reported message, its images, and which conversation it’s in), your account email, and device information through Resend. We also process search requests, device connection activity, and technical error information to run and troubleshoot Result. This is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
What we don’t collect
- Passwords. Password fields are masked before page content leaves your device. When a site needs you to sign in, pay, or solve a CAPTCHA, the agent hands the page to you, and what you type stays in the browser on your device.
- Advertising identifiers, analytics, or tracking. Result has no ad, analytics, or tracking code.
- Your contacts, health data, or anything else the agent doesn’t need for a request.
What stays on your device
Your chat history, the agent’s memory, the files it made, and the browser’s cookies and website sign-ins are kept on your iPhone or iPad. The web pages the agent uses are opened by your device, so websites see your device’s internet address as if you had visited them yourself, and their own privacy policies apply. Link previews in the chat are loaded by your device too.
AI models
You choose where the model runs in Settings › AI:
- Cloud. Your request goes to an open-weight model through Vercel’s AI Gateway. Today these are Qwen (by Alibaba), GLM (by Z.ai), and DeepSeek for chat, and FLUX (by Black Forest Labs) for images. The Gateway may send a request to the model’s maker or to another company that runs the same model. We enable team-wide zero data retention in the Gateway. It restricts requests to providers with agreements not to retain or train on your prompt data. A model without an eligible provider may be unavailable. You can review the current providers in the Vercel AI Gateway model catalog. Before an image is made, its description is checked against our content rules by OpenAI’s open-weight gpt-oss-safeguard model, through the same Gateway and under the same restriction.
- Local. Your own Mac, running the Result app, runs the model. Requests reach it through our relay, which passes them on without storing them. If your Mac doesn’t answer, the cloud model does.
Before you start, Result asks your permission to send this data to AI models. The agent can’t work without a model, so if you don’t agree, you can’t use it.
Companies that help us run Result
We use these services to run Result. Each gets only what it needs for its job:
- Supabase (accounts): your email, account ID, and device list.
- Resend (email): your email address, to send sign-in codes.
- Vercel (our servers, and the AI Gateway): your requests to the agent and your conversations, while a task is active.
- Upstash (a queue between our servers and your device): the actions the agent asks your device to take, and their results.
- Cloudflare (the relay to your Mac, and Mac app downloads): Local model requests, passed through.
- AI model providers (through the AI Gateway, as above): your requests, to answer them, subject to the Gateway’s zero data retention restriction.
- Apple (Maps and Weather): your location, when you ask about places, directions, or weather.
- Hugging Face (where the Mac app downloads models from): your Mac’s internet address.
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We disclose it otherwise only when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy keeps applying to it.
How long we keep it
- Your account and devices: until you delete your account.
- Conversations on our servers: kept while the agent continues a task. Idle sessions normally end after 30 days; sessions waiting for a response remain active. Private session run data is scheduled for deletion when the session ends, subject to the hosting service’s deletion lifecycle.
- The agent’s actions and their results (the queue to your device): 7 days.
- AI model providers: the Gateway restricts requests to providers with agreements not to retain or train on your prompt data. This restriction does not delete the copies needed by Result’s own services while a task is active.
- Server logs: a short time, to keep Result secure and fix problems.
- On your device: until you delete it (Reset Agent, or deleting the app) or delete your account.
When you delete your account, we delete it and your devices, and end your conversations on our servers right away. Any remaining copies, such as in backups and logs, are gone within 30 days.
Your choices
- Delete your account: Settings › Data Control › Delete Account. This deletes your data on our servers and on each of your devices.
- Reset Agent: Settings › Data Control › Reset Agent deletes the chat, files, memory, and website sign-ins on that device.
- Memory: Settings › Memory shows what the agent remembers about you, and lets you delete it.
- Permissions: Reminders, Calendars, Location, Camera, and Photos are only used if you allow them, and you can turn each off in the iOS Settings app › Result.
- Local: pair your Mac to have it run the model instead of the cloud.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, the UK, or California), you can ask to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@result.dev; we reply within 30 days and won’t treat you differently for asking. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
If EU or UK law applies to you: we process your data to provide Result to you (our contract), to send your requests to AI models (your consent, which you can withdraw by deleting your account), and to keep Result secure and working (our legitimate interests).
Where your data is processed
Our servers and accounts are in the United States. Some service providers, including AI model providers, may process data in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Result isn’t for children under 13. If you’re 13 to 17, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to use it. If we learn we have personal data from a child under 13, we delete it. Parents can reach us at support@result.dev.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Your sign-in is kept in the iOS Keychain, each device has its own token that is revoked when you sign it out or delete your account, and only the device that started a conversation can read it. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a problem, please tell us at support@result.dev.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update this page and its date. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
